"...He is brilliant and I would recommend him to anyone who is serious about losing weight"
"I was over exercising and under eating with the wrong balance of foods so decided to seek professional help and found Chris Dear from EPL.
he is brilliant and I would recommend him to anyone who is serious about losing weight, wanting to become stronger and managing which foods to eat and how much.
My goal was to make a lower weight category for my Judo competition which meant I had to lose 5 kilos. All of his advice and guidance was spot on I made weight before my dead line which was brilliant.
I will be returning to Chris in the very near future for more advice leading up to my next competition great work thank you Chris"

"...Chris’s attention to detail during our coaching sessions whilst still maintain awareness of the bigger picture makes training with him hard yet extremely rewarding"
"In February of 2016, after a break of 25 years I started playing Inline hockey again at the ripe old age of 45. I worked hard throughout the year and was over the moon not only to be picked for two division 1 teams (different leagues) but more importantly for the GB Masters Inline hockey team for the world championships to be held in Bolzano, Italy in June 2017.
I decided at the start of the year that to be in the best possible shape for the World’s I needed to get more help with my training off the rink and after some research I concluded that with his knowledge and experience in dealing with power sports, Chris would be the perfect coach.
I have been working with Chris now for a little over 2 months and the improvements I have made can only be described as astounding. I have seen wholesale increases in strength and this improvement has filtered down to my performance on the rink; not only have I recorded improvements in the GB testing programme but I have also felt stronger on the rink and been able to maintain technique and speed through to the end of games and stay injury free.
Chris’s attention to detail during our coaching sessions whilst still maintain awareness of the bigger picture makes training with him hard yet extremely rewarding, plus having my non-coached sessions set out for the month enables me to plan my training properly around my hockey commitments."

"...Chris helps you to train hard, get results and have a good laugh doing it!"
"I began training with chris a little over a year ago now when I first showed interest in Olympic weightlifting. Chris' experience and knowledge of both training and nutrition has helped me to keep my body weight in check while massively increasing strength (my snatch has gone from 50kg to 92kg and my clean and jerk has gone from 70kg to 115kg, so over 40kg on each lift in just over a year)
I would highly recommend chris to anyone looking to build strength, lose a few pounds and generally become better. Chris helps you to train hard, get results and have a good laugh doing it!"
"... He is the real deal in an industry full of wannabees and is the standard by which any trainer should be measured."
I have been training Chris for 5 months, and have seen amazing results in that time. Chris is a truly excellent trainer. He has treasure trove of health and fitness knowledge; expert in mobility, weight lifting, crossfit and nutrition. Chris's perfect combination of diverse training methods, individualized exercise programs and challenging yet achievable goal setting. Because of his efforts, I am stronger and more flexible, I have better balance and most importantly, working out has become fun. He’s easy going, friendly personality creates a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. He is the real deal in an industry full of wannabees and is the standard by which any trainer should be measured.
"... I have continued to work with Chris to improve all aspects of my fitness from basic strength through to core stability as well as nutrition."
"I have been using Chris as a personal trainer since the Autumn of 2010 and am probably as fit as I have been since giving up rugby over 10 years ago. At the age of 42 my initial objectives were simply to shed a few pounds, improve my general fitness and reduce my body fat to a normal level. Chris' approach of never using the same series of exercises in any two sessions and making me keep an "honest" food diary enabled me to my objectives within a much shorter period of time than I thought possible. Since then I have continued to work with Chris to improve all aspects of my fitness from basic strength through to core stability as well as nutrition.
Having acheived so much, through what I now know as "Crossfit", with Chris' help & encouragement my aim is to compete RXD in a Crossfit competition by the end of 2012. Chris is a personable and reliable personal trainer who is always willing to listen and adapt the training to meet your specific goals - with Chris I can assure you that the effort you make, both inside and outside the gym, will be reflected in the results you achieve."
"... I couldn't be happier with how my training is going."
"I came to Chris after some time out of the gym, wanting to do crossfit style of training - I could barely manage 3 pushups to start with! With Chris' coaching and guidance in 6 months I've lost a lot of fat and made some real strength gains in the process. His tailored and varied programming has kept me interested and engaged in the gym, and his monitoring has stopped me from sacrificing my gains away from the gym. It was only after working with Chris that I realised how much time I'd wasted over the years without a clear and consistent approach to training, but I couldn't be happier with how my training is going."
"... Chris is a great teacher and if you put in the hard work and follow his advice you will definitely get the results"
"I went to Chris post baby, wanting to get back into shape and feel like my old self again. I didn’t know much about Crossfit or Weight training but Chris is a great teacher and if you put in the hard work and follow his advice you will definitely get the results and a huge sense of achievement. He has also helped me through a shoulder injury, tailoring programs for strength and recovery. It’s amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it, especially with the help of a pro like Chris."
"... Chris’s motivation has not only kept me on the right path to meet my goal but improved my self-esteem, which is far more than I could have possibly hoped for"
"When I first met Chris at the end of 2013, I was keen to train for aesthetic purposes as I was extremely self-conscious about my body shape and lack of mobility. One of my personal goals is to complete the “Race for Life” 5km run in 2014; which was a daunting aspiration considering I was aerobically unfit. However, thanks to Chris’s tailor made training programmes and nutritional advice Ihave striven to improve my figure, balance and functional strength. Since birth I have suffered from aback ailment, which at times can cause chronic pain and rigidity in the spine. With the assistance of Chris, my enhanced flexibility has meant that the discomfort has minimised dramatically within just four months of coaching. I am aware that the majority of people thought that I would have failed in my ambition to get fit by now, but Chris’s motivation has not only kept me on the right path to meet my goal but improved my self-esteem, which is far more than I could have possibly hoped for."
